Mile-A-Minute Lap Quilt

Description

The top for this lap quilt was made as a sample to demonstrate the mile-a-minute technique to our sewing students in Haiti.  The quilt is 55″ x 65″ so is a great size to use as a throw or to take on a picnic. It is machine pieced and machine quilted.  The binding is sewn onto the front by machine and hand sewn on the back. The batting is 80% cotton 20% polyester and the fabrics are 100% cotton.  Proceeds from this quilt will be used toward the purchase treadle sewing machines for our students in Haiti.
